Kanye: Trump Shouldn't Have All That Power
By the minute, it seems, the blush is coming off the rose of the bromance between Elon Musk and Donald Trump. Years ago, Kanye West wrote an anthem about the abuse of power. Listen up!
ALRIGHT, ENTIRE WORLD...
I know a lot of you don't like it sometimes where the truth comes from - but I don't care, as long as it IS the truth.
Today, some truth is being leaked on Donald Trump by none other than his ex-BFF Elon Musk.
Like it or not, when it comes to Trump's dirty big secrets, Musk is in a position to know.
And my instincts tell me he knows a WHOLE LOT MORE.
The question is how many beans is he going to spill?
And when?
Another not necessarily likable figure has also told you truth in song.
His name is Kanye West and more than a decade ago he wrote a powerful song about a man very much like United States president Donald Trump.
The song is called Power - and it is about the toxic and destructive nature of it if misused.
Which is what Donald Trump is doing and has always done.
The refrain?
"No one man should have all that power!"
No. He shouldn't.
I mentioned Kanye and his apropos anthem months ago and many of you asked why I would choose HIM as the messenger.
The answer?
The choice was not mine.
It simply is what it is.
The Truth.
Like Elon Musk - fascist, racist, alleged drug user, illegal immigrant - I don't care where the truth comes from, only that it IS the truth.
I'll leave you with Kanye's song, Power, and his prescient lyrics:
[Intro: Kanye West]
“I’m living in that 21st century, doing something mean to it
Do it better than anybody you ever seen do it
Screams from the haters got a nice ring to it
I guess every superhero need his theme music
[Chorus: Kanye West]
No one man should have all that power
The clock’s ticking, I just count the hours
Stop tripping, I'm tripping off the power
[Verse 1: Kanye West]
The system broken, the school's closed, the prison's open
We ain't got nothing to lose, motherfucker, we rolling
With some light-skinned girls and some Kelly Rowlands
In this white man world, we the ones chosen
So goodnight, cruel world, I'll see you in the morning
Huh? I'll see you in the morning
This is way too much, I need a moment
[Chorus: Kanye West]
No one man should have all that power
The clock's ticking, I just count the hours
Stop tripping, I'm tripping off the power
'Til then, fuck that, the world's ours
Like it or not, Donald Trump, who is only one man, should have all that power.
The clock’s ticking…
