Who's Got It Worse Than U.S.?
Even in the age of Trump, where Donald Trump's opinion seems to, well, trump all, I think people have a right to their opinions. But foreigners calling out Americans over Trump need to just STFU!
OK, Hello World, Outside of America...
I held off on making this post for a full day because I wanted to see if how I felt about this subject would change with the hours.
Know what?
I didn't change.
I'm still kinda pissed.
Here's why:
See, I live in the United States of America, with a totally insane man running the country and making decisions that affect the welfare of the entire world. I lived through four years of it from 2016 to 2020 - and I thought that experience was enough to make us never, ever want to go back to the past.
But then came 2024.
Deep in my heart, I KNOW that Donald Trump and his Republican cabal CHEATED to steal the election. I just don't know how.
I, like many people here, believe he faked an assassination attempt to turn the tide as well, but we just don't know how.
Now, with each passing day and evermore insane statement, wacky post on Truth Social or declaration that he might do some wackadoodle shit that should get him bounced out of The White House - I know that there are people all over this country, who, just like me, are doing what they can to try to bring Donald Trump 2.0 to an end.
We just have to figure out how to do it because this situation is unprecedented in all of our lives, and unless you want to go back in time to include Civil Wars and American Revolutions, there just is no roadmap for how to deal with a situation where The Most Powerful Person In The World runs your country and is simultaneously The Most Dangerous Person In The World.
Now, the part that has me pissed off and has led me to take the entire day to decide how to address it?
Having people who DO NOT live here in these United States of America wanting to come on my page - that of a man who spends every single day trying to contribute to the overthrow of The Orange Clown - and tell ME how fucking inconvenienced THEY are by what is happening here.
To US in the U.S.
Do you know why I took some time to think about how I would respond?
Because saying, "Hey, Fuck You, Lady!" probably wouldn't be the right thing to do.
Because typing, "Well, what in the hell would YOU be doing about Donald Trump - instead of criticizing those who actually have to deal with him?"
Because, "Yo, motherfucker, HE'S THE FUGGIN' PRESIDENT! What do you expect us to do?" won't do.
So, no, because I don't want to wake up tomorrow with messages from those who've unfriended me in the night and left nasty notes on the way out, I just decided to do it the way I did it in the screen grab.
That should be enough.
I am sorry for those of you who have to watch MY COUNTRY, the united states of america, lose status and look small in your eyes and to those of the rest of the world.
I am sorry that we can't get a group of mostly overweight, unarmed but determined, pissed off folks from around the way to meet in Washington, D.C., scale the fences at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and toss the guy out - like so many of you want to see.
So, since we here - in what remains a democracy - and need time to figure out how to handle a political, societal, and to some degree an existential threat to the only way of life we know, is it possible you can do us all a favor?
Can you just SHUT THE FUCK UP and let U.S. think?
Think it’s interesting that Americans don’t push our opinions on others’ governments when our government is quick to get involved. In fact, many of US, wish we’d get involved LESS. But that’s a whole other discussion.
